Bath Mats

First, a bath mat for the grown-up bathroom, which has a rubber duck theme. (We’re not that grown up.)

I worked the whole thing with two strands to make it nice and thick. I kept the same medium blue throughout, but the lighter color is a variety of white and off-white odds and ends.

And I threw in that stripe of hot pink just because I felt like doing so. I like it.

And now we have a bath mat, of the perfect size for the space. And it’s flat enough that it fits under the open door (regular fluffy mats ended up squashed against the tub). So that’s scrap project #3/101, and here’s #4/101:

Princesses from Above

a bath mat for the princess-themed bathroom that the girls use. Again, I worked it in two strands of worsted-weight cotton, this time with a medium pink throughout and then odds and ends of other colors the girls liked.

The kids have been stuck home sick this week, so they were quite helpful in selecting, dressing, and posing the models, and in lighting the scene in this bathroom with no natural light.
