Schoolhouse Run T-Shirt

Another of my recent design projects, this one for the 2015 Schoolhouse Run.

Here’s what I submitted:

And here’s the final shirt:

Finished Shirt

I like it!

I still have so much to learn about designing on the computer. For one thing, I spent a lot of time zoomed in, adding details like ribbons on bonnets that don’t really read on the shirt. Also, there was an earlier draft where the tree, once zoomed out, resembled a rather menacing giant chicken. Fortunately I caught that one earlier in the process.

I heard they ran out of shirts, which I think is a good sign.

Rebecca is an artist, writer, and photographer with degrees in Theater and Social Work, and is currently a Stay at Home Mom to her three kids. Some part of her house is always a mess, she lets her kids paint on the table and design their own costumes, and she makes excellent allergen-free cookies. She lives with her equally creative husband and children in a part of Virginia known for being "pretty close to Dulles Airport", and dreams of moving to an old farmhouse in New England.
