In the Creek

Happy Birthday, L.M. Montgomery. Thank you for giving the world Anne of Green Gables. She and my real-life besta-buddy Jen, with whom I got into many “scrapes” in the creek that ran behind our streets, sustained me through middle school and beyond.

One of the greatest joys of parenting, in my opinion, is watching your child discover and fall in love with the things you love best. She might not be ready to read Montgomery yet, but Abigail, in her party dress, was quite happy playing in the creek on Thanksgiving Day.

Delightful!

This is my 30th and final post in NaBloPoMo 2015. To all my new followers, thank you! I’m so glad you’re here. For December I’ll be trying out a Monday-Wednesday-Friday publishing schedule, which I hope will allow me to keep blogging regularly, but also to catch up in some other areas of life. Like all those Christmas presents I’m supposed to be making. And all the things I should have already cleaned. (Probably in that order.) -Rebecca
