Cutting the Christmas Tree

While searching for the perfect Christmas tree at Day Star Farm in Leesburg, Virginia, we found lots of interesting things; horses,

and the candy cane tree,

and clever repurposing of candy cane wrappers,

and the friendly donkey,

and finally, our tree.

This is one of my family’s favorite (and relatively new) Christmas traditions. If you want to go too, make plans for this weekend. They’re open two more days this season.
