Let’s Pretend It’s Still December

I don’t want the kids to go back to school today, and we have no snow days in the forecast. So I’m going to pretend it’s still tropical December and not freezing-tears-at-the-bus-stop January.

These pictures were taken when I stopped at the park early one morning before doing my final push of Christmas shopping. The stores were crowded, but I saw no other people as I squashed through the mud. And look what I found:

Branches with Rain 20151227

Fence 20151227

Frogshackle 20151227

Frogshackle Pond 20151227

Frogshackle Pond2 20151227

Vestal's Gap Road 20151227

It was beautiful. Peaceful. Solitary.

I was the only one to see these sights that morning. Just me and a bazillion noisy birds.
