Blizzard Preparedness

Did you hear? It’s supposed to snow in the D.C. area this weekend. Several feet, maybe. We’re even getting a little preview tonight.

Snow Clouds This Afternoon

Since apparently all the stores are out of all the foods, I’m glad we stocked up on all the necessities already, including;

fabric to finish the Rainbow Hearts and Unicorns Quilt,

many musical instruments*,

and appropriate snow gear. This is enough boots for three children, right?

Uhhhh…. Add that to the to-do list for tomorrow.

*Abigail made these instruments in her Kindergarten class, as part of their One To The World project. A visiting artist from Wolf Trap helped the kids to build instruments from found objects, in teams and individually. Pictured here are her paper plate banjo and her coffee can washboard. She also made a wooden rhythm instrument, a comb harmonica, a cardboard tube woodwind instrument, and a set of spoons. Let the tunes begin!
