While I Was Taking Pictures

In case you were wondering how well the children tolerate this new photography interest of mine, know that sometimes there is a lot of plodding and grumbling, while other times they take full advantage of my attention being elsewhere to have fun of their own.

This is what they were doing while I was taking pictures of Mayapples.

Abigail Crossing the Creek

Abigail touching the algae

Abigail was quite taken with the algae in the creek and insisted that I touch it. She was right, it was very soft. I spent so much time playing in this creek as a kid, and it’s a delight to watch them explore and come to love it as well.

Becca, I LOVE all these pictures. I also spent my childhood playing in creeks (and petting algae), so they definitely brought back some good memories. 🙂

Aww, thanks, Sally! I’m glad you liked them. And the algae. Did you have crayfish in your creek? I both wanted to catch one and was afraid of them.
