Everywhere Roses

Summer so far has been intense, and revolving around family medical issues. I could use a bit of pretty right now.

So thank goodness it is June, and in Northern Virginia roses are blooming everywhere.

At the bus stop,

in my mother’s garden, yellow always being her favorite,

and even in my window boxes.

I may never have a rose garden of my own, but this miniature rose that Henry chose at the grocery store survived the winter and has returned to bloom again. And that is a beautiful thing.
