Autumn Begins

I took a little walk in Claude Moore Park this morning, right around the time of the autumnal equinox; not because I didn’t have a long list of Important Things to Do,

but because it was a beautiful morning and I had the luxury of the time and the health to take a walk.

My mother loved the colors green and yellow, and it seems that something wild and yellow has been in bloom constantly since she died. Now it is Goldenrod, a flower I’ve been fond of since my grandmother took me to pick some to hang and dry when I was a young girl.

Today the Buckeyes were enjoying it as well.
