The R2D2 Hat

Continuing in our family’s tradition of Star Wars-themed hats, I bring you the R2D2 hat.

Crocheted mostly of one piece, I added a little pocket and slipped in the light from a headlamp flashlight so he could have a pretend projector that really turns on. Which will also come in handy for trick-or-treating in the dark.

I made this without a pattern, so I did pull out part of it and start over, but I’m pretty happy with how it came out overall.

And Henry likes it, which is the most important thing. He can’t wait until Halloween is over and he can wear his R2D2 hat “all of the times.”
