Great Blue Heron in The Wildlife Pond

A little bit of pretty for the weekend, from my adventure with Henry at Claude Moore Park this week.

We watched this Great Blue Heron for quite a while as we walked around the pond. I think Herons and Egrets are such elegant and beautiful birds. As I said in the last post, I only had my camera pone with me and I couldn’t zoom much, so I felt fortunate to be able to get this close.

I’m up to 10,612/50,000 words on my NaNoWriMo project, over 20% of the way there, and ahead of schedule. Which is good, because I’m remembering how much more difficult it is to write when all of the kids are home, and this is a four day weekend for them. So if I have to slow down or take a day off, I can.

And for NaBloPoMo, I’m right on track with my fifth post on the fifth of November.
