This morning, when my husband and I went to vote, we brought the kids with us, as we do every year. It would be easier for us adults to do it alone, but we bring them because we think it’s important for our children to see how our leaders are chosen, and for them to understand how important our family thinks it is to exercise this precious right.
Our polling place had “Future Voter” stickers for the kids, which I thought was a great idea.
They wore their stickers proudly all day.
NaNoWriMo: 15,539/50,000. I am invoking the privilege of the Low Word Count Day I’ve earned by being ahead all those other days.
NaBloPoMo: 7/30. Still on track.
