As we were preparing to head out on a family hike, loading children and water bottles and lunches into the car, my neighbor waved me over and pointed out a red fox, sitting right behind her house.
Isn’t it beautiful?
We kept our distance and took a few pictures, but it didn’t seem concerned that we were there.
Eventually it yawned and ambled away.
I probably say this all the time (because I think this all the time), but it never fails to amaze me, the number of interesting things we can find so close to home.
