Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail

We picked up Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail at Potomack Lakes Sportsplex in Sterling and headed east, toward Riverbend Park and Great Falls National Park.

We didn’t hike far, but the children had a good experience in the outdoors, for the most part.

We’ll save the long hikes for later, when we’ve done a better job of estimating our time on the trail and brought lunch along.

Still, they were impressed with (wanted to play in) the waterfall.
